SKYE DARLING

The Project:

Concept to creation artist branding, album production, crowdfunding support, and media development for singer-songwriter Skye Darling in advance of her debut record “Only Noise.”

The Timeline:

January—October 2025

The Outcome:

‘Only Noise’ released on October 1, 2025 after a successful Kickstarter, raising over $7,500. Skye received a full suite of media assets and resources to jumpstart her solo career: six mixed/mastered tracks, headshots, several music videos (live & synced), a website, album & single cover art design, social media content, and dedicated consulting sessions around release strategy and artist branding.

Audio
Production

Sarah came to us with songs and key aesthetic cues in mind, but looking for collaboration on arrangements and production. With acoustic and virtual instruments, we explored a wide palette of colors and textures to bring her vision to life.

Photography

Skye is a multi-style, multifaceted artist, which meant she needed diversity in her photos: some showcased her folk side with warm imagery reminiscent of summer nights at camp, while others were more dark and artistic to reflect the emotional depth of her debut record.

Release Strategy Consulting

We worked with Skye to create a vision with practical tools for implementation to help get her record out in the world. These sessions covered Branding & Identity, Audience Development, Social Media Promotion, and Playlist Pitching, each with easy-to-follow step-by-step worksheets.

Cover Art Design

Together we designed the official album cover, as well as artwork for two singles, “Puppeteer” and “Numbered.”

Skye came to us with an idea in mind: a faucet dripping — constant, steady, and grating, a reflection of the anxiety and emotions that sit beneath the surface. We took this inspiration and turned it into what you see here.

Videography

We worked with Skye to create videos for a variety of purposes, including an official music video for her single “Puppeteer,” a Kickstarter video to support her crowdfunding efforts, and two informal live performance videos filmed at home.

Website Design

Skye needed a simple, no-fuss website to serve as a portfolio of her work and showcase her latest album. The site includes templated pages that Skye can continue to update and alter on her own, as well as SEO descriptions and alt text to ensure optimal visibility on search engines.
